Approx. External Size: 3m (9'10") wide x 5m (16'5") deep + 1.1m (3'6") canopy (approx)
The Avon 5 Dual Wall Log Cabin Office, with its double glazing and fully insulated walls, ceiling and floor, creates the perfect working environment that keeps in warmth and blocks out noise and outside distractions. The double door gives easy access for moving furniture in and out of the cabin and the three windows let in plenty of natural light and fresh outdoor air whilst the roof light provide extra ventilation if required. At 3m x 5m this cabin is the ideal design for placing in narrow gardens.
Convenience Features: - 2000mm (6'6") High internal eaves, giving more interior space. This is the lowest point inside so you're unlikely to hit your head on the ceiling unless you're taller than 6'6".
- Double Door, this gives ease of access to the Cabin when moving items into and out of it and also allows more fresh air into the cabin during summer months if desired.
- Three opening windows.
- 14mm double glazed units for windows and doors. (Onsite glazing will be required)
- 25mm foil backed polyurethane floor insulation, goes underneath the cabin floor boards.
- Roof insulation made with 50mm polyurethane, that goes on top of the roof boards to create an over all roof thickness of approximately 80mm.
- 1100mm (3'6") (approx) overhanging canopy to the front of the cabin, creates a shady place ideal for relaxing outside on a sunny day, which also offers some protection from rain. The canopy can be cut back during construction quite easily if a smaller overhang is desired.
- 2 Roof Lights with integrated flyscreens - For added light and ventilation. Will need to be cut into the log cabin roof in your desired position, allowing you to place them wherever best suits your requirements.
Construction Features: - 130mm Insulated Walls - The dual wall log cabin has a 28mm external wall and a 28mm internal wall with 70mm polyurethane insulation between them. The insulation is foil backed to reflect and retain heat.
- 19mm Thick tongue and grooved roofing and flooring for a sturdier roof and to prevent bounce in the floor when walking upon it.
- Large 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers to prevent fungal decay and damage by insects. The bearers sit underneath the whole of the cabin so that everything in contact with the foundation is pressure treated, unlike some other suppliers cabins.
- Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm (approx) Roof beams to prevent 'sagging', pre-notched to slot onto apexes
- All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), pre-notched pine or spruce to ensure a rapid and easy assembly.
- Windows and single doors are pre-hung and pre-assembled to simply slot into place.
- Double doors are provided as 6 assembled pieces that slot together then slot into place
Note: The Log Cabin will be delivered on a flat bed van and you will need to unload it by hand, the driver will assist with this. The cabin is made from kiln dried timber and must be covered if it is to be stored outside prior to construction and treatment. This is to prevent moisture/rain from warping and rotting the timber, unless you plan to store the cabin inside, you will need tarpaulins or similar to provide cover for the wood.
Note: Roofing Shingles are available at extra cost.
